I’ve missed you. Apparently I needed the summer off, but I am back and booming with inspiration! I had the pleasure to hear Jossy Chacko speak recently about Leadership and he said something that struck me, “Risk is your friend to love and comfort is the enemy.” I think that we all get comfortable at certain stages of our life and stop challenging ourselves to take risks. I love that he challenges us to “question who is missing out because we refuse to take the next step of faith?” Think about that. Where are your gifts that you are uncomfortable to let shine? What could you do to help someone that may put you at risk? We often try to figure it all out before we do anything. “Comfort and safety should be the enemy,” Jossy says. It is clearly difficult, but I think that we could all stand to increase our pain threshold. Myself included! So let today be a decision day. Let’s live with #noregrets. Here are 3 things that Jossy says we can do today to get started:
- List all dreams.
- Decide on a time and action.
- Who will hold you accountable?
I believe we are all fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) to serve a unique purpose in this life. Think about the last transforming think that happened to you…was it in your comfort zone? It is not easy or popular at times but it is worthy of who we are called to be.
